There are many misconceptions about biblical perspective on the subject of debt. As a result, people are more confused today than ever before about God's opinion on being in debt and getting out of it.

Is debt really a sin? Even though God does not encourage debt, He certainly doesn't consider it a sin. However, God warns about the dangers of being in debt in so many scriptures. It is in our own interest to stay out of debt as Christians.
