"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." ~ BuddhaNobody will show or give you the kind of love you truly deserve by default... The level of love you get from other people would be determined by how much love you show yourself. And you cannot love your neighbours genuinely when your self love is low.
No doubt, God's love is the greatest kind of love but without self love, demonstrating agape is almost impossible. In fact, we can't truly love God and our neighbours without self love. No wonder Jesus said love your neighbour as yourself...

Here are few things you should start doing to improve self love:
- Give yourself gifts as often as possible (Love gives)
- Forgive yourself and forget about your past mistakes (Love forgives)
- Celebrate yourself privately and publicly
- Stop self name calling (negative names I mean), instead start using positive affirmations to improve your "self confidence" and "self perception"
